How to download and set up OMNE in Cape Verde

Download OMNE in Cape Verde: Android and iOS Setup Guide

OMNE is available in Cape Verde on both Google Play for Android and the App Store for iOS. This guide covers the actual setup steps, what to check before you install, how pricing works in CVE, and how to fix the three problems people hit most often. It also covers the privacy settings worth changing on day one and a short checklist for meeting safely in the capital.

Before you install

• Android 7.0 or newer, or iOS 13 or newer.
• About 200 MB of free storage.
• A working phone number or email for verification.
• A payment method only if you plan to upgrade: major cards and app store billing.

Install steps

• Open Google Play or the App Store and search for OMNE (package: com.omne5.app).
• Check the developer name matches the listing before installing.
• Install, open, and allow notifications only if you want message alerts.
• Sign up with phone or email, then verify.
• Add at least three photos and a two-line bio. Profiles with three photos get materially more matches.

Prices in Cape Verde

The app is free to download and free to message. Optional upgrades are displayed in CVE and billed through major cards and app store billing. Subscriptions can be cancelled from your store account. Cancelling in the app is not required, so you can manage or end a subscription entirely from Google Play or the App Store.

Three common problems

Cannot find the app in the store. Update your store app, clear its cache, and search the package name. If your device was purchased in another region, the store account region must match Cape Verde.

Verification code not arriving. Wait 60 seconds, check spam, then request again. Repeated requests can trigger a temporary limit.

Payment declined. Confirm the card allows international or digital subscriptions, and that the store account region matches your card's country.

Privacy settings worth changing on day one

• Turn off "show distance" if you live in a small area.
• Restrict who can message you first.
• Disable photo downloads where available.
• Review the data section: under local data protection regulation in Cape Verde, you can request access or deletion.

How OMNE compares with swipe-only apps in Cape Verde

Swipe-only apps optimise for time in app. OMNE optimises for a first conversation: messaging is free, voice and video calls happen inside the app, and profiles are reviewed for scam and nudity patterns. In practice that means fewer matches that go nowhere, and more matches that turn into a plan in the capital.

A checklist before you start

• Set your distance filter to a range you can actually travel in Cape Verde.
• Write a bio that names one place and one activity. It gives people something to answer.
• Decide your intent (casual dating, relationship, friendship) and say it plainly.
• Turn on two-factor authentication if offered, and use a unique password.
• Plan the first meeting in public, in daylight where possible.

Meeting safely in the capital

Tell a friend the venue and time, keep your phone charged, arrange your own transport, and stay in public areas. If the other person pushes to change the plan to a private location on the first meeting, that is a reason to slow down.

Language and tone

English works in most urban conversations in Cape Verde, but a single line in Portuguese changes the tone immediately. Keep it simple: a greeting, a thank-you, a compliment about something specific.

Bottom line

Dating in Cape Verde rewards specificity and timing more than perfect photos. Use the app to start real conversations, move to a plan within a week, and keep safety rules non-negotiable. That combination works in the capital, and it works everywhere else.
