How to download and set up OMNE in Greece

OMNE is available in Greece on both Google Play for Android and the App Store for iOS. This guide covers the actual setup steps, what to check before you install, how pricing works in EUR, and how to fix the three problems people hit most often.

Before you install

Confirm your device meets the minimum requirements and that you have what you need for sign-up. This takes a minute and prevents most failed installs.

• Android 7.0 or newer, or iOS 13 or newer.
• About 200 MB of free storage.
• A working phone number or email for verification.
• A payment method only if you plan to upgrade: major cards and app store billing.

Install steps for Android and iOS

• Open Google Play or the App Store and search for OMNE (package: com.omne5.app).
• Check the developer name matches the listing before installing.
• Install, open, and allow notifications only if you want message alerts.
• Sign up with phone or email, then verify.
• Add at least three photos and a two-line bio. Profiles with three photos get materially more matches.

If you skip the photo and bio step, expect very little activity in the first week. The profile is the product; treat it as part of setup, not an afterthought.

Prices in Greece

The app is free to download and free to message. Optional upgrades are displayed in EUR and billed through major cards and app store billing. Subscriptions can be cancelled from your store account; cancelling in the app is not required. If you upgrade, check the renewal date in your store account settings so there are no surprises.

Three common problems and how to fix them

Cannot find the app in the store. Update your store app, clear its cache, and search the package name. If your device was purchased in another region, the store account region must match Greece.

Verification code not arriving. Wait 60 seconds, check spam, then request again. Repeated requests can trigger a temporary limit, so space out your attempts rather than tapping resend repeatedly.

Payment declined. Confirm the card allows international or digital subscriptions, and that the store account region matches your card's country.

Privacy settings worth changing on day one

• Turn off "show distance" if you live in a small area.
• Restrict who can message you first.
• Disable photo downloads where available.
• Review the data section: under local data protection regulation in Greece, you can request access or deletion.

These four changes take under two minutes and are easier to set before you start matching than after.

How OMNE compares with swipe-only apps in Greece

Swipe-only apps optimise for time in app. OMNE optimises for a first conversation: messaging is free, voice and video calls happen inside the app, and profiles are reviewed for scam and nudity patterns. In practice that means fewer matches that go nowhere, and more matches that turn into a plan in the capital.

A checklist before you start

• Set your distance filter to a range you can actually travel in Greece.
• Write a bio that names one place and one activity; it gives people something to answer.
• Decide your intent (casual dating, relationship, friendship) and say it plainly.
• Turn on two-factor authentication if offered, and use a unique password.
• Plan the first meeting in public, in daylight where possible.

Getting to a first date in the capital

Choose a place you already know: a cafe you can describe, a park with a clear meeting point, a bar that is busy but not loud. In the capital the safest first dates are short, 60 to 90 minutes, daytime or early evening, with an easy exit. Suggesting the place yourself also removes the back-and-forth that stalls many conversations.

What dating costs in Greece

Expect the cost of two coffees or a simple meal, paid in EUR. Apps themselves are free to use; any upgrade is optional and priced in EUR through major cards and app store billing. Never let a stranger pressure you into splitting a large bill on a first meeting.

Bottom line

Dating in Greece rewards specificity and timing more than perfect photos. Use the app to start real conversations, move to a plan within a week, and keep safety rules non-negotiable. That combination works in the capital, and it works everywhere else.
