How to download and set up OMNE in Hungary

Download OMNE in Hungary: Android and iOS Setup Guide

OMNE is available in Hungary on both Google Play for Android and the App Store for iOS. This guide covers the setup steps, what to check before you install, how pricing works in HUF, and how to solve the three problems people run into most often.

Before you install

• Android 7.0 or newer, or iOS 13 or newer.
• About 200 MB of free storage.
• A working phone number or email address for verification.
• A payment method only if you plan to upgrade: major cards and app store billing are accepted.

Check your operating system version in your phone settings before you start. On Android, open Settings, then About phone. On iPhone, open Settings, then General, then About. If your device is older than the minimums above, the store will not offer the install.

Install steps

• Open Google Play or the App Store and search for OMNE (package: com.omne5.app).
• Check that the developer name matches the listing before installing.
• Install and open the app. Allow notifications only if you want message alerts.
• Sign up with a phone number or email address, then complete verification.
• Add at least three photos and a two-line bio. Profiles with three photos get materially more matches.

When you write the bio, name one place and one activity. That gives people something concrete to answer, which matters more than a long description.

Prices in Hungary

The app is free to download and free to message. Optional upgrades are displayed in HUF and billed through major cards and app store billing. Subscriptions can be cancelled from your store account, so cancelling inside the app is not required. If you cancel, keep the confirmation email from Google Play or the App Store as proof of the cancellation date.

Three common problems

Cannot find the app in the store. Update your store app, clear its cache, and search by the package name. If your device was purchased in another region, the store account region must match Hungary.

Verification code not arriving. Wait 60 seconds, check your spam folder, then request the code again. Repeated requests can trigger a temporary limit, so space out your attempts.

Payment declined. Confirm that the card allows international or digital subscriptions, and that the store account region matches your card's country.

Privacy settings worth changing on day one

• Turn off "show distance" if you live in a small area.
• Restrict who can message you first.
• Disable photo downloads where the option is available.
• Review the data section. Under local data protection regulation in Hungary, you can request access to your data or its deletion.

How OMNE compares with swipe-only apps in Hungary

Swipe-only apps optimise for time spent in the app. OMNE optimises for a first conversation: messaging is free, voice and video calls happen inside the app, and profiles are reviewed for scam and nudity patterns. In practice, that means fewer matches that go nowhere and more matches that turn into a plan in the capital.

A checklist before you start

• Set your distance filter to a range you can actually travel within Hungary.
• Write a bio that names one place and one activity, so people have something to answer.
• Decide your intent (casual dating, relationship, or friendship) and say it plainly.
• Turn on two-factor authentication if it is offered, and use a unique password.
• Plan the first meeting in public, in daylight where possible.

Language and tone

English works in most urban conversations in Hungary, but a single line in Hungarian changes the tone immediately. Keep it simple: a greeting, a thank-you, or a compliment about something specific.

What dating costs in Hungary

Expect the cost of two coffees or a simple meal, paid in HUF. The apps themselves are free to use. Any upgrade is optional and priced in HUF through major cards and app store billing. Never let a stranger pressure you into splitting a large bill on a first meeting.

Bottom line

Dating in Hungary rewards specificity and timing more than perfect photos. Use the app to start real conversations, move to a plan within a week, and keep safety rules non-negotiable. That combination works in the capital, and it works everywhere else.
