How to download and set up OMNE in Indonesia

Downloading OMNE in Indonesia: what to expect

OMNE is available in Indonesia on both Google Play for Android and the App Store for iOS. This guide covers the setup steps, what to check before you install, how to handle the three problems people run into most often, and the settings worth adjusting on your first day.

Before you install

• Android 7.0 or newer, or iOS 13 or newer.
• About 200 MB of free storage.
• A working phone number or email for verification.
• A payment method only if you plan to upgrade: GoPay, OVO, DANA, or app store billing.

Install steps

• Open Google Play or the App Store and search for OMNE (package: com.omne5.app).
• Check that the developer name matches the listing before installing.
• Install, open the app, and allow notifications only if you want message alerts.
• Sign up with your phone number or email, then complete verification.
• Add at least three photos and a two-line bio. Profiles with three photos get materially more matches.

Prices in Indonesia

The app is free to download and free to message. Optional upgrades are displayed in IDR and billed through GoPay, OVO, DANA, or app store billing. Subscriptions can be cancelled from your store account; cancelling inside the app is not required.

Three common problems

Cannot find the app in the store. Update your store app, clear its cache, and search by the package name. If your device was purchased in another region, the store account region must match Indonesia.

Verification code not arriving. Wait 60 seconds, check your spam folder, then request the code again. Repeated requests can trigger a temporary limit.

Payment declined. Confirm the card allows international or digital subscriptions, and that the store account region matches your card's country.

Privacy settings worth changing on day one

• Turn off "show distance" if you live in a small area.
• Restrict who can message you first.
• Disable photo downloads where available.
• Review the data section. Under PDP Law No. 27/2022 in Indonesia, you can request access to or deletion of your data.

How OMNE compares with swipe-only apps in Indonesia

Swipe-only apps optimise for time spent in the app. OMNE optimises for a first conversation: messaging is free, voice and video calls happen inside the app, and profiles are reviewed for scam and nudity patterns. In practice, that means fewer matches that go nowhere and more matches that turn into a plan in Jakarta.

A checklist before you start

• Set your distance filter to a range you can actually travel in Indonesia.
• Write a bio that names one place and one activity; it gives people something to answer.
• Decide your intent (casual dating, relationship, friendship) and state it plainly.
• Turn on two-factor authentication if it is offered, and use a unique password.
• Plan the first meeting in public, in daylight where possible.

Seasonal patterns

Activity in Indonesia rises before public holidays and in the first weeks of the year, and dips during major family holidays. If replies slow down, it is often the calendar rather than you.

Meeting safely in Jakarta

Tell a friend the venue and time, keep your phone charged, arrange your own transport, and stay in public areas. If the other person pushes to change the plan to a private location on the first meeting, that is a reason to slow down.

Bottom line

Dating in Indonesia rewards specificity and timing more than perfect photos. Use the app to start real conversations, move to a plan within a week, and keep safety rules non-negotiable. That combination works in Jakarta, and it works everywhere else.
