OMNE coins and VIP in Hungary: understand the structure before you buy
If you use OMNE in Hungary, you may have noticed two optional paid layers: coins and VIP. This guide explains their structure, what each one is for, what remains free, and how purchases and cancellations work through Google Play. We do not list prices here, because prices can change and may vary by promotion or region. Always check the current price in the app before you confirm a purchase.
What OMNE coins are for
Coins are a virtual currency inside OMNE. You buy them in packs through Google Play, and you spend them on specific actions or extras that are not part of the free experience. Think of coins as pay-as-you-go credits: you top up when you want, and you use them only for the features that require them.
Typical uses for coins include:
- Unlocking optional profile boosts or visibility extras.
- Accessing certain one-off features that are not included in the free tier.
- Testing a paid feature without committing to a recurring subscription.
Coins are consumed when you use them. They do not renew automatically, and they are not a subscription. If you are unsure whether a feature is worth it, coins let you try it once rather than signing up for a recurring charge.
What OMNE VIP adds
VIP is a subscription layer. Instead of buying credits, you pay for ongoing access to a bundle of extras for as long as the subscription is active. The exact VIP benefits are shown in the OMNE app before you subscribe, and they may be updated over time. In structure, VIP usually groups together conveniences that would otherwise be bought separately or with coins.
VIP is designed for people who use OMNE regularly and want a smoother experience without thinking about individual credits. It is optional. You can use OMNE without VIP and without buying coins.
Before subscribing, open the VIP screen in the app and read the current benefit list and renewal terms. That screen is the authoritative source, not this article.
What stays free in OMNE
OMNE remains usable without spending money. The free tier includes the core experience: creating a profile, browsing, and the basic ways of connecting with people. Coins and VIP add extras, but they are not required to use the app.
What stays free includes:
- Downloading OMNE from Google Play and creating an account.
- Setting up your profile and browsing within the free limits.
- Using the core matching and messaging features that OMNE offers without payment.
Free limits may change as the app evolves. If a feature moves behind coins or VIP, it will be indicated in the app before you are asked to pay.
How purchases work through Google Play
All OMNE coin packs and VIP subscriptions in Hungary are processed by Google Play. OMNE does not handle your card details directly. When you tap a purchase, Google Play shows the price in your local currency, along with any taxes that apply, and asks you to confirm with your Google account.
The steps are usually:
- Open OMNE and go to the coins or VIP screen.
- Choose a coin pack or the VIP option you want.
- Review the Google Play purchase dialog, including the price and renewal terms for VIP.
- Confirm the purchase with your Google account.
- Coins are added to your balance, or VIP is activated on your account.
Because Google Play handles billing, your purchase history and receipts live in your Google Play account. If a purchase does not appear in OMNE, check that you are signed in with the same Google account you used to pay.
How to cancel OMNE VIP
VIP is managed through Google Play, not inside OMNE. To cancel, open the Google Play Store app on your device, go to your profile, then Payments and subscriptions, then subscriptions. Find OMNE in the list and follow the cancellation steps. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep VIP access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Deleting the OMNE app does not cancel a subscription. If you uninstall the app but keep the subscription active, Google Play will continue to renew it. Always cancel through Google Play if you want to stop the recurring charge.
Coins are different: they are one-time purchases, so there is nothing to cancel. They simply stay in your balance until you use them.
How OMNE works in Hungary
OMNE (package name com.omne5.app) is available in Hungary through Google Play. The app works with your Google account for purchases, so your payment method, currency, and tax handling follow your Google Play settings for the country you are in. If you move or change your Google Play country, the available packs and prices may change accordingly.
In practice, this means you do not need a separate OMNE account for billing. Your Google Play account is the billing layer, and OMNE is the app layer. That separation is useful: it keeps your payment details with Google and gives you a single place to review subscriptions.
Who OMNE is for
OMNE is for adults who want a straightforward dating app experience and who prefer to decide for themselves whether to pay for extras. It is not a pay-to-win platform: the free tier is functional, and coins and VIP are optional add-ons for people who want more visibility or convenience.
It is a good fit if you:
- Want to try the app without committing to a subscription.
- Prefer to buy credits only when you need a specific extra.
- Use Google Play for all your app payments and want one place to manage them.
It may not be a good fit if you expect every feature to be free forever, or if you dislike subscription-based extras. In that case, use the free tier and skip VIP.
A practical way to decide
Start free. Use OMNE for a while and note which features you actually miss. If you only need one extra occasionally, coins are the lighter option. If you find yourself wanting the same conveniences repeatedly, compare that habit with the VIP bundle shown in the app. Either way, check the current price in Google Play before confirming, and remember that you can cancel VIP at any time through your Google Play subscriptions.
Download OMNE free on Google Play and explore the free features first. You can decide about coins and VIP later, when you know what you actually need.
