OMNE Coins and VIP Explained for Sri Lanka
If you are using OMNE in Sri Lanka, you may have noticed two optional extras: coins and VIP. This guide explains what each one is for, what remains free, and how purchases and cancellations work through Google Play. OMNE is a dating app built for meaningful connections, and understanding these features helps you decide whether they fit your experience.
How OMNE works
OMNE (also known as omne5) is a dating app designed to help people meet and connect. In Sri Lanka, users can download the app free from Google Play and start browsing profiles, liking people, and matching. The core experience is free, and you can use OMNE without spending anything. Coins and VIP are optional add-ons that give you more flexibility or visibility if you choose to use them. OMNE does not promise matches or results; it simply provides tools to help you connect with others.
What coins are for
Coins are a virtual currency inside OMNE. You can use them to access certain optional features or actions that are not part of the free experience. Think of coins as a way to pay for specific actions when you need them, without committing to a subscription. For example, coins might be used to unlock extra visibility for your profile, send a special signal to someone you like, or access premium filters. The exact features available for coins can vary, but the principle is simple: coins let you pay as you go for extras.
Coins are purchased through Google Play as an in-app purchase. You buy a coin package, and the coins are added to your OMNE account. There are no fixed prices stated here because prices can change and may vary by region or promotion. You will always see the current price in Google Play before you confirm a purchase.
What VIP adds
VIP is a subscription that unlocks a set of enhanced features for a period of time. While the free version of OMNE lets you browse, like, and match, VIP is designed for users who want more control and visibility. VIP typically includes features such as seeing who liked you, unlimited likes, more advanced filters, and possibly a boost to your profile visibility. The exact benefits are described in the app at the point of purchase, so you can review them before subscribing.
VIP is managed as a subscription through Google Play. This means you can start, manage, and cancel it directly from your Google Play account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. OMNE does not set the prices shown in Google Play; those are displayed by Google Play and may include local taxes or currency conversions.
What stays free
OMNE remains free to download and use for its core features. You can create a profile, add photos, browse potential matches, and start conversations without paying. The free experience is designed to be useful on its own. Coins and VIP are optional upgrades, not requirements. You can use OMNE in Sri Lanka without ever making a purchase, and you will still be able to meet people and build connections.
How purchases work through Google Play
All purchases in OMNE on Android are processed by Google Play. When you buy coins or subscribe to VIP, you will be prompted to confirm the purchase through your Google Play account. The payment method you have on file with Google Play will be charged. OMNE does not handle your payment details directly; Google Play manages the transaction securely.
To buy coins, open the coin store in the OMNE app, select a package, and confirm the purchase through Google Play. For VIP, go to the VIP section in the app, choose a subscription plan, and confirm through Google Play. You will receive a confirmation from Google Play, and the features will be activated in your OMNE account.
How to cancel VIP
Because VIP is a Google Play subscription, you cancel it through Google Play, not through the OMNE app. Here is how to do it:
- Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right corner.
- Go to Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Find OMNE in the list and tap on it.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the on-screen instructions.
You can also manage subscriptions through the Google Play website. After cancelling, you will retain VIP access until the end of the current billing period. Coins are a one-time purchase and do not require cancellation; they are added to your account when you buy them.
Who OMNE is for
OMNE is for adults in Sri Lanka who want a straightforward dating experience with the option to enhance it. It suits people who value a free core app and want to decide for themselves whether extras like coins or VIP are worth it. It is not for anyone under 18, and it does not promise matches or relationships. If you prefer a simple, honest approach to dating with optional upgrades, OMNE may be a good fit.
Managing your spending
It is always a good idea to keep track of in-app purchases. You can view your purchase history in Google Play to see what you have spent on coins or VIP. If you want to avoid accidental purchases, you can set up authentication for purchases in Google Play. Remember that coins are consumed when you use them for features, while VIP is a recurring subscription. Decide what fits your budget and use the features that add value for you.
