How much does OMNE cost in Lebanon? Coins, VIP and what is free
If you are in Lebanon and considering OMNE, you probably want to know what it costs before you sign up. The short answer: OMNE is free to download and use for the core experience. You can chat, match, and explore without paying anything. Optional in-app purchases, such as coin packs and VIP, exist for people who want extra features, but they are never required. This guide explains the structure of OMNE's pricing in Lebanon, what is free, what costs money, and how billing works through Google Play.
How OMNE works
OMNE (package name com.omne5.app) is a dating and social discovery app available on Google Play. In Lebanon, you download it like any other Android app. Once installed, you can create a profile, browse, and start matching for free. The app uses a freemium model: the basic service is free, and you can optionally buy virtual coins or a VIP subscription to unlock more. There is no mandatory subscription to use OMNE. Payment, when you choose it, is handled entirely by Google Play, so you never enter card details directly into the app. Prices are shown in your local currency or the currency set in your Google Play account, and they may vary slightly due to exchange rates or regional pricing. OMNE does not publish fixed prices in this article because they can change; always check the current price inside the app before you buy.
What is free on OMNE
The free tier of OMNE is designed to be genuinely usable, not a teaser. Here is what you get without paying:
- Profile creation and editing: Add photos, a bio, and basic details.
- Browsing and matching: See potential matches and like or pass.
- Basic chat: Once you match, you can send messages. Some limits may apply to daily messages or certain features, but the core chat is available.
- Discovery: Use filters and explore profiles in your area.
- Safety features: Report and block tools are free for everyone.
In short, you can use OMNE for dating and meeting new people in Lebanon without spending a cent. Many users never buy anything and still have a good experience.
Optional coin packs
OMNE uses a virtual currency called coins. You can buy coin packs with real money through Google Play. Coins let you access certain premium actions, such as boosting your profile, sending extra likes, or unlocking special features. The exact coin packages and their prices are displayed in the app's store section. Typically, larger packs offer better value per coin, but you should only buy what you need. Coins are consumable: once you spend them on a feature, they are gone. There is no obligation to buy coins, and the free experience does not require them.
VIP subscription and benefits
VIP is OMNE's optional subscription tier. It is billed on a recurring basis (weekly, monthly, or another period, depending on the plan shown in the app). VIP unlocks a bundle of benefits that can make the experience more convenient and visible. While the exact list may evolve, typical VIP benefits include:
- See who liked you: Skip the guesswork and view profiles of people who have already shown interest.
- More daily likes: Send more likes than the free tier allows.
- Profile boost: Get prioritized visibility for a period.
- Advanced filters: Narrow your search by more criteria.
- Ad-free experience (if ads are present): Enjoy OMNE without interruptions.
- Rewind: Undo a accidental pass.
VIP is not required to use OMNE. It is for users who want extra convenience and visibility. You can cancel anytime; see the cancellation section below.
How in-app purchases work on Google Play
All payments in OMNE go through Google Play's billing system. When you tap a coin pack or VIP plan, Google Play shows you the price and asks for confirmation. You can pay with a credit card, debit card, Google Play gift card, or carrier billing if your mobile operator in Lebanon supports it. OMNE never sees your full payment details. Google Play also handles receipts, refunds, and subscription management. You can view your purchase history in the Google Play app under "Payments & subscriptions." If you have a problem with a charge, contact Google Play support first. OMNE's support can help with app-related issues but cannot process refunds directly.
How to cancel OMNE VIP or manage purchases
If you subscribed to VIP and want to stop renewing, you must cancel through Google Play, not inside OMNE. Here is how:
- Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Find OMNE in the list and tap it.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
You will keep VIP access until the end of the current billing period. Cancelling stops future charges. If you uninstall the app, the subscription does not cancel automatically. For coin packs, these are one-time purchases and cannot be cancelled, but you can request a refund from Google Play if you have a valid reason within their policy window.
Who OMNE is for
OMNE is for adults in Lebanon who want a straightforward dating and social app without a mandatory paywall. It suits people who prefer to start free and only pay for extras if they find them useful. It is not for those looking for a completely ad-free experience without any cost, or for users who expect unlimited premium features for free. If you are unsure, use the free tier first. You can always upgrade later if you want more visibility or convenience. OMNE aims to be transparent: you will always see the price before you confirm any purchase.
Tips to avoid unexpected charges
- Check the subscription price and billing period before confirming VIP.
- Set a reminder to cancel before the renewal date if you only want one period.
- Use Google Play's "Require authentication for purchases" setting to prevent accidental buys.
- Review your Google Play purchase history regularly.
