How much does OMNE cost in Rwanda? Coins, VIP and what is free
If you are wondering how much does OMNE cost in Rwanda, the short answer is: OMNE is free to download and use, with optional paid extras. There are no mandatory fees to create a profile, browse, or start connecting. This guide explains the free tier, coin packs, VIP, and how billing works on Google Play so you can decide what fits your budget.
How OMNE works
OMNE (also known as omne5) is a dating app designed to help people meet in a straightforward, respectful way. In Rwanda, you can download OMNE from Google Play, sign up with your phone number or Google account, and start exploring profiles. The app uses your location and preferences to suggest potential matches, and you can chat once you both express interest.
The core experience is free. You can swipe, match, and message without paying. Optional purchases, such as coins and VIP, are available if you want to enhance your experience, but they are never required to use the app.
What is free on OMNE
OMNE offers a generous free tier that covers the essentials of online dating. Here is what you can do without spending any money:
- Create your profile: Add photos, a bio, and details about yourself.
- Browse and swipe: See potential matches based on your preferences and location.
- Match and chat: When you and another person both like each other, you can start a conversation.
- Basic search filters: Filter by age, distance, and gender.
- Safety features: Report and block users, and control who can see your profile.
These features are available to all users in Rwanda at no cost. You can enjoy OMNE without ever making a purchase.
Optional coin packs
Coins are OMNE's in-app currency. They let you access extra features without committing to a subscription. You can buy coin packs in different sizes, and the exact prices are shown in the app before you confirm any purchase. Prices may vary based on promotions or your location, but they are always displayed clearly.
What can you use coins for? Common uses include:
- Boosts: Make your profile more visible for a limited time.
- Extra likes: Send more likes than the free daily limit allows.
- Rewinds: Undo a accidental swipe.
- Super likes: Stand out by sending a special like that notifies the other person.
Coins are optional. You can choose to buy them when you want a specific feature, and you are not locked into a recurring charge.
VIP membership benefits
VIP is OMNE's premium subscription that bundles several advantages into a monthly or longer plan. While the exact price is shown in the app, VIP typically offers:
- Unlimited likes: Like as many profiles as you want without waiting for the daily reset.
- See who liked you: View a list of people who have already liked your profile.
- More visibility: Your profile may be shown to more people.
- Advanced filters: Refine your search by more criteria.
- Ad-free experience: Enjoy OMNE without advertisements (if ads are present in your region).
VIP is billed through Google Play, and you can cancel anytime. The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal.
In-app purchase handling on Google Play
All purchases in OMNE are processed by Google Play. This means you use the payment method linked to your Google account, such as a credit card, debit card, or mobile money (where supported). Google Play handles the transaction securely, and you will receive a confirmation email for each purchase.
To view your purchase history or manage payment methods, open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon, and go to Payments & subscriptions. You can also set up authentication for purchases to prevent accidental buys.
How to cancel VIP or manage subscriptions
If you want to cancel your VIP subscription or manage any recurring purchase, follow these steps:
- Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right corner.
- Select Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Find OMNE in the list and tap it.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
You can also cancel via the Google Play website. After cancelling, you will retain VIP benefits until the end of the current billing period. Coin packs are one-time purchases and do not require cancellation.
Who OMNE is for
OMNE is for adults in Rwanda who want a simple, respectful way to meet new people. It suits those who prefer a free-to-start experience and appreciate the option to enhance their profile or visibility later. If you are looking for a dating app that does not force you to pay to message matches, OMNE is a good fit. It is not for anyone under 18, and it is not a platform for casual hookups only; the community guidelines encourage genuine connections.
