Is OMNE free in Chile? Coins, VIP and what you actually get
If you are in Chile and wondering whether OMNE is free, the short answer is yes: you can download OMNE for free from Google Play, create your profile and start chatting without paying. The app uses an optional coin system and a VIP subscription for extras like unlimited chat and higher-quality video calls. This guide explains exactly what you get for free, what costs money, and how to stay in control of your account.
How OMNE works
OMNE (package com.omne5.app) is a dating and social discovery app available in Chile. After downloading omne5 from Google Play, you sign up with basic details, add photos and a short bio, and start browsing profiles. The app connects you with people based on your location and preferences, so you can chat with matches in Santiago, Valparaíso, Concepción or anywhere else in the country.
Every day, you receive a set of free messages. These let you start conversations, reply to matches and get a feel for the community. If you want to send more messages, unlock additional features or make longer video calls, you can buy coins or subscribe to VIP. Coins are one-time purchases; VIP is a recurring subscription that you can cancel at any time.
Free features
- Free download from Google Play.
- Free profile creation with photos and bio.
- Free daily messages to start and continue chats.
- Free browsing and matching.
- Free basic video calls (subject to daily limits).
Coins
Coins are the pay-as-you-go option. You buy a pack of coins and spend them on specific actions, such as sending extra messages, boosting your profile or unlocking a premium feature for a limited time. Coins do not expire, so you can use them whenever you want. This is ideal if you only need a little extra occasionally and do not want a subscription.
VIP tiers
VIP is a monthly or annual subscription that removes many limits. The exact tiers and prices are shown inside the app before you confirm any purchase. In general, VIP includes:
- Unlimited chat with your matches.
- Higher-quality video calls.
- See who liked you.
- Priority in discovery.
- No ads (if ads are present in your region).
VIP is optional. You can use OMNE for free indefinitely, or upgrade only when you need more from the app.
How to cancel VIP or manage your subscription
If you subscribed to VIP through Google Play, you can cancel directly from your Google Play account:
- Open the Google Play Store app on your phone.
- Tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select OMNE and tap Cancel subscription.
You will keep VIP access until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the free plan with daily messages. You can resubscribe later if you change your mind. If you bought coins, those are one-time purchases and do not renew, so there is nothing to cancel.
How to delete your OMNE account
You can delete your account at any time. The exact steps may vary slightly by app version, but the usual path is:
- Open OMNE and go to your profile or settings.
- Look for Account or Privacy.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
If you cannot find the option, you can also request deletion by contacting support from the app or through the developer contact email listed on Google Play. Deleting your account removes your profile and matches. It does not automatically cancel a VIP subscription, so cancel that separately as described above.
Who OMNE is for
OMNE is for adults in Chile who want a straightforward way to meet new people, chat and possibly move to a video call. It suits you if you prefer a freemium model: start free, see how it goes, and only pay if you want unlimited chat or better call quality. It is not a guarantee of matches or dates, and it is not designed for users under 18. If you are looking for a serious relationship, a casual chat or simply to expand your social circle, the free plan is enough to explore. If you chat a lot or rely on video calls, VIP may be worth it.
What you actually get: free vs paid
- Free: download, profile, browsing, daily messages, basic video calls.
- Coins: extra messages, boosts, temporary unlocks. No subscription.
- VIP: unlimited chat, higher-quality video calls, see who liked you, priority. Recurring but cancellable.
There are no hidden mandatory fees. You can use OMNE in Chile without spending anything, and you decide when and if you want to pay. All purchases are processed by Google Play, so you get the usual Google Play protections and receipts.
Tip: check the VIP price and benefits inside the app before subscribing. Prices and features can change, and the app always shows the current offer before you confirm.
