Is OMNE free in Taiwan (China)? Coins, VIP and what you actually get
If you are in Taiwan (China) and wondering whether OMNE is free, the short answer is yes. You can download OMNE for free, create a profile, and start matching without paying anything. The app is built around a freemium model: the core experience is free, and optional paid features exist for people who want more. This article explains exactly what you get for free, what coins and VIP add, and how to manage or cancel your account. No surprises, just clear facts.
How OMNE works in Taiwan (China)
OMNE (package name com.omne5.app) is a dating and social discovery app available in Taiwan (China) through Google Play. After you download it, you create a profile with photos and a short bio. The app then shows you potential matches based on your preferences and location. You can like or pass on profiles, and when two people like each other, it becomes a match. From there, you can chat and, if you both agree, start a video call.
The free version of OMNE gives you a daily allowance of messages and basic matching. You do not need to pay to see who liked you or to send a first message, though there are daily limits to prevent spam. If you want unlimited chatting, higher-quality video calls, or extra visibility, you can choose to buy coins or subscribe to a VIP tier. Everything is optional, and you can use OMNE indefinitely without spending money.
What you get for free
OMNE is not a trial that expires. The free plan includes:
- Free download and profile creation.
- A daily number of free messages to matches.
- Basic matching and discovery.
- The ability to receive likes and matches.
- Standard video call quality (subject to your device and network).
The daily message limit resets every 24 hours. It is designed to encourage genuine conversations rather than mass messaging. If you run out, you can either wait for the next day or use coins to send more messages immediately. Many users in Taiwan (China) find the free allowance enough for a few meaningful chats per day.
Coins: what they are and when to use them
Coins are OMNE's virtual currency. You can buy them in packs through Google Play. Coins are used for optional actions such as:
- Sending extra messages after your daily free limit.
- Boosting your profile for a short period to get more views.
- Unlocking certain profile details or filters.
Coins are not required to use OMNE. They are a convenience for people who want to chat more or be more visible. Prices for coin packs are shown in the app before you confirm any purchase, and they may vary slightly depending on promotions or your region. Always check the final amount on the Google Play payment screen.
VIP tiers: unlimited chat and better video calls
VIP is a subscription that unlocks a more premium experience. While the exact tiers and names may change over time, VIP generally offers:
- Unlimited chat with your matches (no daily message cap).
- Higher-quality video calls, which can mean clearer picture and sound when your network allows.
- See who liked you without guessing.
- Ad-free experience (if ads are present in your version).
- Priority visibility or more daily likes.
VIP is billed through Google Play on a recurring basis (for example, monthly or quarterly). The exact price and duration are always displayed before you subscribe. You can cancel anytime, and you will keep VIP benefits until the end of the period you already paid for.
How to cancel OMNE VIP or coins
If you subscribed to VIP through Google Play, you cancel it in your Google Play account, not inside the OMNE app. Here is how:
- Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right.
- Go to Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
- Find OMNE (or omne5) in the list and tap it.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
Coins are one-time purchases and do not renew, so there is nothing to cancel for coins. If you bought coins but have not used them, refunds are handled by Google Play according to their policy. For any billing issue, contact Google Play support first, as they process all payments.
How to delete your OMNE account
You can delete your OMNE account at any time. The exact steps may vary slightly by app version, but the general process is:
- Open the OMNE app and go to your profile or settings.
- Look for Account or Privacy settings.
- Select Delete account and confirm.
If you cannot find the option in the app, you can request deletion through the support contact listed on the OMNE Google Play page. Deleting your account removes your profile and matches. It does not automatically cancel a VIP subscription, so cancel that separately in Google Play as described above. After deletion, you can create a new account later if you wish, but your old matches and messages will not be restored.
Who OMNE is for
OMNE is for adults who want to meet new people in Taiwan (China) and beyond, whether for dating, friendship, or casual conversation. It is not a marriage agency or a guaranteed matchmaking service. It works best for people who are comfortable starting conversations and who value a mix of free features and optional upgrades. If you prefer a completely free experience with no paid options at all, OMNE may not be the right fit, because coins and VIP are part of the model. But if you want a free way to browse and chat daily, with the choice to pay only when you need more, OMNE offers a clear and honest structure.
Is OMNE really free in Taiwan (China)? The bottom line
Yes. You can download OMNE for free, create a profile, match, and send a limited number of messages every day without paying. Coins and VIP are optional add-ons for unlimited chat, better video calls, and more visibility. There are no hidden mandatory fees. All payments go through Google Play, and you can cancel or delete your account whenever you want. If you are curious, the safest way to start is with the free version and upgrade only if you find value.
